The Bitter Rojo is a sophisticated cocktail that captures the essence of a bittersweet relationship. It combines the bold flavors of Campari and the smooth character of Oroma Carajillo with sweet vermouth, finished with aromatic Angostura Bitters to craft a drink that's both complex and inviting.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1.Chill a coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water. Let it chill while you prepare the cocktail.
  2. 2.Prepare an orange twist by using a vegetable peeler or paring knife to peel a 2-3 inch long piece of orange skin, avoiding the white pith underneath. Set it aside for garnish.
  3. 3.Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  4. 4.Pour 100ml of Oroma Carajillo (premixed) into the shaker.
  5. 5.Add 25ml of Campari to introduce bitterness.
  6. 6.Add 10ml of Sweet Vermouth for depth and a hint of sweetness.
  7. 7.Add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters to enhance complexity and seasonality.
  8. 8.Stir the mixture thoroughly for about 30 seconds, ensuring the ingredients blend well and chill.
  9. 9.Empty your now-chilled coupe glass of the ice water if using this method.
  10. 10.Strain the stirred concoction into the prepared coupe glass, allowing the bright red hue to capture attention.
  11. 11.Express the orange twist by holding it over the glass and gently bending it to release aromatic oils, then drop it into the drink as a final touch.
Serving Suggestions

Enjoy the Bitter Rojo as a pre-meal aperitif to stimulate your appetite. Serve it in a chilled coupe glass, allowing its bright red color to catch the eye and its aromatic citrus garnish to enhance the drinking experience.
